Help & Guide
Release 2.19r
21.11 Time Zone

In line with most other computers systems, Bridgewebs stores time stamp dates, such as when results are uploaded, in the Universal Tome Clock (UTC) format, that is the number of seconds since Midnight of 1st January 1970. This means that it does not matter whether Bridgewebs is run on a computer in London or New York, the date stored will be the same value.

In order to display these dates showing in Local time, an adjustment needs to made:

If you go to Web Administration

  • Choose "Settings"
  • Choose "Details"
  • Choose "Timezone"
  • Choose the "Timezone" that you would normally use in the Winter
  • Choose the "Timezone" that you would normally use in the Summer or select "No Daylight Saving"

Bridgewebs will use the currently accepted International Clock Change dates for Spring and Autumn
Thus will use the Winter Setting for dates with a Month of November, December, January, February and March
And will use the Summer Setting for dates with a Month of April - October
Dates at the end of March may fall in the Summer Setting
Dates at the end of October may fall in the Winter Setting

This is because the overhead of determining the exact date when the clocks change in Spring and Autumn of each Year for each Time Zone and each country would be excessive.

Thus, you may find that dates at the End of March and October may show in the wrong setting.
