If you are using Scoring Software which can Upload/Download a player file to Bridgewebs, then you can use the Synchronise feature. This includes ScoreBridge and EBUScore (not ACBLScore)
The membership database is used for a number of purposes in Bridgewebs. However the scoring software you use also needs a player database.
The "Bridgewebs Membership (BWMDB) - Scoring Player Database (SPDB) Synchronisation" provides a method of maintaining consistent membership information in one place.
Its best to Pre-register members in Bridgewebs.

Once this is done members can set up their own passwords – see section 4. To activate synchronization between the two databases, sign into administration and click on Membership, and then Options.

- To turn on synchronisation set the first box to ‘Yes’
- Bridgewebs isn't interested in "Visitors" so usually you want to ignore "Visitors", i.e.. without a Join Date / "Member" Status, so set the second option to "Yes"
- If you are updating the BWMDB through Bridgewebs, then set the third option to ‘Yes’, this will prevent updates from SPDB updating the "personal" information held in Bridgewebs.
- Unless you would like to update the SPDB with "personal" information, when it is updated through Bridgewebs set the fourth option to ‘No’. This prevents private information being added to the scoring software which doesn’t need it.
For security/technical reasons, there are some limitations on amendments, additions and deletions
- Deletions from BWMDB are not deleted from the SPDB because results may still be assigned to that name
- Additions on BWMBD are not added to the SPDB, because the Scoring Software may need to assign and check other info. All new players should first be added to the SPDB, probably as visitors, but will not be uploaded to Bridgewebs.
- If a player is deleted on the SPDB, when next uploaded, the status of the entry on the BWMDB will be set to Visitor, just in case it is still used in Bridgewebs or "Members Only"
The Member's Password remains within Bridgewebs, is not visible in Web Admin and is not exported.
The Member can modify their own "personal" information.
