10.5 The Schedule

The schedule allows you to enter a weekly schedule of regular events that Bridgewebs will use to generate calendar events. The events are generated at the beginning of the month. They reflect the schedule at the time, hence once the schedule is set up, any changes made to it can take a month or two to be reflected in the Calendar

When first setting up the Schedule, leave  'Automatic Calendar Update Required' (1) at 'Not Required' until you have set up all the other fields to your satisfaction as setting this field will trigger the first set of calendar entries to be generated. Once ready to start generating Calendar entries, you can choose to set this field from 1 to 18 months. It will initially generate calendar entries for the number of months specified in this field e.g.. if set up in Mid-July for '3 months', calendar entries for July, August, September will be generated initially then on 1 August , calendar entries for October will be generated and so on.

You can set up several schedule entries for any day of the week. As you fill in one row , a further empty row will be displayed to allow you to enter further entries for that day.

The 'Week' field allows you to specify a frequency. The options are shown below

'Every Week' means that a calendar entry of this format will be generated for each week in the month

'Week 1 - 5 ' means that a calendar entry will be generated for that day on that particular week of the month. e.g.. if you play on the 1st and 3rd week of the month, you would set up one entry for 'Week 1' and a second for 'Week 3'.

'Not week 1 - 5' means that a calendar entry will be generated for for that day for every week in the month except the one specified e.g.. if you never play on the first Monday of the month but all other Mondays, then you would set up an entry for Monday with this field set to 'Not Week 1'. 

If you are using Bookings, you can specify a table limit for one of your regular events. This will override any club wide setting set in Settings - Members.

The other fields to be entered are standard calendar fields described in 9.1 Calendar Fields

Once the Calendar entries are generated , they can be amended , deleted etc. in the same way as any other calendar entry. Also you can add extra calendar entries directly without adding them to the schedule.
