Help & Guide
Release 2.19r
6.10 Multiple events on one day

Many "Clubs" only play one event a day, but you can record several "Events" for a day. You will need to assign an Event Number to each "Event". The system automatically assumes "1".

Additionally, if you have uploaded events and want to organise them in lists in a specific sequence, you can assign your own sequence number. This particularly applies to congresses, multiple sections etc.

Bridgewebs uses 2 pieces of information from the "Results" file to match against the calendar

  • Date
  • Title

and from Administration - Settings - Scoring - "Results Upload" - Are you a larger club playing more than once a day and want to add every upload, rather than overwriting the calendar?

  • "No" - Generally One event per day - upload to it
  • "Yes" - More than one event per day, upload on equal title

When you upload "Results", the system will check the "Results" against the "Calendar"

  • Bridgewebs will automatically add an event for the "Results" if there is nothing recorded on the "Calendar" for that day.
  • If there is already an uploaded "Results" file for the same day with the same title as the "Results" file, this will be assumed as an amendment and the "Calendar" updated.
  • If "One" and there is just one event recorded which hasn't had results uploaded yet, the results will be attached to that event.
  • If there is already a "Calendar" entry without "Results" but with the same title as the uploaded file title, the "Results" will be attached to that event.

Otherwise (if there is more than one "Event" recorded or "Result" already uploaded for that day or title different)

  • Web Upload
    • If you have already uploaded "Results" for that day then the system will ask you to choose which event is being uploaded.
  • Auto Upload
    • Regardless of "Results Upload" setting, Bridgewebs will add a new "Event" with the title of the uploaded "Result" file.
