Release 2.19r
4.2.3 Making a reservation ( booking)

Bridgewebs has a "Booking" Feature to allow members to Book an event. There is an option for a club to call this "Reservations", but they are the same.

You may be required by the Club to make a booking for specific events. Your club has the option to restrict when bookings open, so you may see a message giving you the date when bookings open for a specific event. You will not be able to book before that date.
If you have a regular partner, you can now register your partners name against your membership details and it will be pre-populated in the partner field when booking.
There are two methods of making a booking and which one is in use is dependent on how the club has set it up.
The two methods are by Calendar ( Calendar Month view ) or via Members Only.

Calendar Month.

If a booking is required for an event, you will see a booking icon either next to the event details on the Calendar or in a pop-up that appears when you hover over the date.
Click on the icon and enter your details, including password if required.
It should now show you as 'Current User'. It should also show any current booking and will show if the event is already Fully Booked.
If not fully booked, you will be able to add your partners name (if not pre-populated) and possibly your preferred direction of play, then press 'Add Reservation'.
If fully booked, you may still be able to enter your partner details and be added to a waiting list. If there is a cancellation and you are promoted from the Waiting List to playing , you will be informed by email , providing your email is recorded on your Membership details. Note the email goes to whoever booked. It is their responsibility to let their partner know.

To remove an existing booking, you should follow the same procedure but press the 'Remove' button to delete your booking.

Members Only

Access is via the Members Only Login.
Choose the 'Find a Partner' tab.
If an event can be booked, there will be a box in the PL column. Tick this box and add your partner's name (if not pre-populated) in the box beside it. Again you may be able to add your preferred direction of play.
Remember to click 'Confirm' at the top of the page.
Again, even if the event is fully booked, you may be able to add details and be added to a waiting list. If there is a cancellation and you are promoted from the Waiting List to playing , you will be informed by email , providing your email is recorded on your Membership details. Note the email goes to whoever booked. It is their responsibility to let their partner know.

To remove an existing booking, untick the PL box and 'Confirm'.
