2.3 The Site Menu

Your web site will typically have a menu with entries similar to below. The person you appoint as "Web Administrator" can modify this to suit your particular needs.

The first item is Home page – already described above.

Next is News, this is for items of news that do not justify a permanent slot on the home page. You then have Information which has a sub menu which can be used for details of where the club meet and when. It may also give a list of contacts. Calendar shows a full list of forthcoming events at the club and will automatically drop events older than the current date. Results shows a sub menu – the first page being a list of past events at the club. You can click on one to show the full details. The second page may also show personal analyses for all members. Competitions is also a sub menu with tabs showing competition winners, and then under each competition a full list of results. Administration is for use of club officials. Typically, there will be a sub menu – Web administration for changes to any aspect of the web site, Results Administration for uploading results and deal files. To access either of these you will need a password. Bridgewebs links you to the main Bridgewebs site to look for other clubs.
