These are planned for mid- to late- March, starting when Brian gets back from his holiday in Australia.

It has been mentioned that there are various people interested in taking up the game so:

  • Get names & phone numbers
  • Greymouth lessons are set for a Tuesday night
  • Lessons go 7 - 9 pm
  • Cost $2 / session
  • Information to be given to Brian in writing please [ he forgets things otherwise ]

Welcome to Greymouth Bridge Club

Greymouth is located on the West Coast of the South Island in "Land of the Long White Cloud" - New Zealand - Aotearoa

The West Coast is a 600km stretch of coastline pounded by the Tasman Sea and hemmed in by the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps. With its five National Parks containing glaciers, rain forests, mountains, crystal clear lakes and wetlands as well as being home to some rare and endangered animals, the West Coast offers some of the best things to see and do for nearly one million tourists a year.

Greymouth Bridge Club hold duplicate bridge sessions

  • Every  Wednesday [ seated at 1:20 pm starting at 1:30 pm ]
  • Every Thusrday [ seated at 6:50 pm starting at 7:00 pm ]
  • Venue: Baptist Church Hall, Greymouth. Click here for a map.
  • We use electronic scoring devices - with BridgePal [ android based ]
  • We offer fully random hands dealt using Dealer4 dealing machine. Full results are available on this website shortly after the end of the session.
  • Visitors are always welcome.  

Whether you are a newcomer to the game or a more advanced player, you will enjoy the game in a friendly atmosphere.

Tournament Results

yes Nelson Pairs: April 7 - 8th

Congratulations to Michelle & Sue for a great result at the weekend. They came 2nd in their section and 13th overall. 

yes Christchurch - Teams of 4: Saturday June 26th

Congratulations to Michelle, Sue, Glen & Vicki who fought a seesawing battle all day in the Junior Teams event succumbing in the last round to finish 2nd overall. First time in such an event so certainly great sign for the future of this young team.

John joined CHCH players to play in the Intermediate Teams of 4. He too excelled and led for most of the competition but dropped away towards the end to finish 3rd.

yesChristchurch - Pairs Competition: Sunday 27th June

Michelle & Sue and Glen & Vicki continued to play well against other Canterbury region teams and finished 2nd & 6th respectively.

yesRichmond - Pairs Competition: Saturday 11th August

The GlueGunn team continues to excel and they won the Junior Pairs section and acquired 0.64 A Points.

yesRichmond - Teams of 8: Sunday 12th August

It has been some 25 years since we last entered this competition. Although we played with great enthusiasm and committment, the team didn't master the intricacies of this format of the game and came 9th after 64 boards.
