Qualifying rounds for this can take place at any affiliated club.
From any qualifying round, the top half of the field (including ties, but no substitutions for drop-outs) will qualify. People may play in as many heats as they like, with as many partners as they like - but if they qualify they must choose with whom to play.
The final will be an all-play-all event of roughly 40 boards, and will be held at Cheltenham Bridge Club on Saturday 28th March 2020 11.00am start. Cost is £7.50 per person to include a light lunch. Plus green points for everyone - just turn up!
All affiliated clubs in the County are allowed to hold heats from which to qualify pairs to play in thie event, and the final will be held on Sunday 29th March 2020. The event will start at 1330 and the cost will be £5 per head. The rules for qualifying are
This matchpoint pairs competition takes place immediatelty after the AGM on Sunday 17th May 2020. This will be run as a stratified pairs event, with pairs split roughly into three categories in accordance with NGS ratings. There will be prizes for the best performance in each stratum.
The Gloucestershire and Herefordshire weekend pairs event will be held on Saturday 18th July 2020. The venue is the Larruperz Centre Ross-on-Wye.
