With most of the remaining teams containing players (even captains) not playing online, it has been decided to abandon the 2019-2020 Knock Out. An online alternative for the next year will be announced shortly.

The Cheltenham Congress this year is a week later than usual - as the bank holiday has moved. It takes place on 8th May to 10th May, with a similar format to always : newcomers' events and the Mixed Teams on the Friday, Swiss Pairs on the Saturday and Swiss Teams on the Sunday.

This year's event is at the THORNBURY LEISURE CENTRE and comprises Swiss Pairs starting 1300 hrs on Saturday followed by Swiss Teams starting 1100 hrs on the Sunday.

The combined Gloucestershire / Herfordshire event will take place on Saturday 18th and Sunday19th July 2020.
There is Swiss Pairs on the Saturday (starting 1300 hrs) and Swiss Teams on the Sunday (starting 1100 hrs).
Each event is six 8 board matches, with cash and wine prizes, including a non-expert prize.
The entry fee is £24 per player for each day (half price for under 22's and students in full time education).
Meals (£10) and sandwiches (£1.75) can be pre-booked, more details on the entry forms.
There will also be a bar, and tea/coffee is available throughout the event.
