Am sorry to give the news that Tony Rushforth (who played regularly with Sue Dowson) passed away on the weekend of 25/26 July. The message from his son Bruno was that "He'd had all his family around him including grandchildren only a couple of days before, and he'd managed to stay at home until the last 3 weeks of his full and positive life."
Tony had a great love for theatre and wrote and directed plays and sometimes even appeared in them. I've known Tony since 2014 when he started attending classes with me and despite some severe setbacks (including a terrible fall while on holiday, shingles pain, ++) he continued to enjoy playing Bridge. He was an old school gentleman and we'll miss him.

 If you are a Bridge addict player who would like access to online duplicates, then please register your
Bridge Base Online (BBO) User Name on this site from the menu option on the left. All players are very welcome....and there is no annual membership fee.
We play weekly Duplicate every Monday online on BBO and face-to-face monthly - usually 14-18 boards games, that are played in a competitive but friendly spirit.
