FOBC IS INVITING ALL BRIDGE PLAYERS

to try out the clubs

DUPLICATE PAIRS EVENTS

which are held on BBO every

 Sunday, Monday & Wednesday starting at 7.15pm and also on Wednesday starting at 10.45am 

all the above events are open to non-members of FOBC

so why not give them a try?

To compete in these FOBC Duplicate Pairs events, all you need do is email Elsie at; LCA_1_6_20@yahoo.com with the following details please:

• Name
• BBO username
• EBU number (if you have one)
• Email address

There is a standby/host system in place, whereby we guarantee every player a game even if they enter without a partner.

Registration for any FOBC Duplicate Event opens on BBO 2 hours before the start time and it helps if all participants are logged on at least 15 minutes before the starting time. For more information follow this link  HOW TO ENTER 

Long term FOBC will closely monitor the progress and popularity of these duplicate events, and as the level of interest increases, we will 'train up' more TD's and expand our scope by putting on even more of these duplicate events.as demand dictates

The Friendly Online Bridge Club (Duplicate Pairs Section) or FOBC (DPS) is also run separately as a,  FREE of CHARGE of any annual membership or subscription fee, from the rest of the clubs other activities. The only charge to competitors who wish to enter these events will be, the actual minimum entrance fee suggested by the EBU of $3.00 per player (approx £2.30 as the exchange rate at the time of writing).

From this $3.00; BBO take a share for use of their platform; EBU take a share for the issue of master points, NGS & P2P; a share goes toward any TD fees that may be required;  and finally any remaining balance goes to the FOBC.

This section of the FOBC website will also be used to publish all items pertaining to the clubs Duplicate events, including, calender, results, statistics and all other appropriate information.

Therefore whilst the FOBC Duplicates are run separately from all of the other clubs regular membership & subscription fee only events, then all the those relevant pages of the website will continue to remain password protected & member only pages. 

Therefore any non-member of FOBC who does compete in the FOBC (DPS) will not allowed to participate in any of the other FOBC events or be allowed access to other parts of the FOBC website unless indeed they contribute toward the current annual subscription.
