Temporary Closure due to Corona Virus |
At the meeting on Friday 13th the members were consulted on whether they wished to continue to meet due to the Covid 17 Virus. A vote was taken and the majority chose not to continue. Club meetings have therefore been cancelled forthwith. The situation will be reviewed in April. Hopefully we will all remain healthy and meet again after the pandemic is over.

Keeping the Duplicate Board on the Table |
The duplicate board should be left on the centre of the table, with the compass points facing towards the appropriate player. At no time must it be moved, and if you think this is silly Law, it isn't. It goes a long way towards preventing misboarding of the cards at the end of the hand, and it also prevents the danger of giving away information when what you intend to do depends on the vulnerability. A tiny glance at the board will tell you the vulnerability, whereas if the board has been taken from the middle of the table, it may be necessary to pick it up to have a look, thus clearly giving away that what you are about to do depends on whether you are vulnerable or not.
And if you are playing East, please check the score at the end of each hand.
