Following requests from some of our member who cannot use the Looking For A Partner System below, it has been agreed that from now on if you are looking for a partner and are unable to use this system you SHOULD NOT TELEPHONE BIRTE

He will then add your name to the Calendar on the website and also circulate your request and your contact details to all members via the BridgeWeb e-mail system.

All that we ask is if you find a partner you contact Peter again so that he can delete your request from the calendar

Due to the large increase in charges by Kingsland Church, table money will be increased to £4.00. per person from a date to be advised by the Club Treasurer.

In the mean time it will remain at £2.00 per person

If you are looking for a partner on any particular date, a new system has been put in place which gives you a better chance of finding one. 

If someone is looking for a partner, you will see on the right-hand side of this page beneath the relevant calendar date. the word "Partner?". If you click on this word, you will see details of someone who is looking for a partner.

If there is no such entry below the date you are looking for a partner on, please use the system below to enter the members area and request a partner yourself.

As soon as Peter is aware that you have done this he will circulate your request and your contact details to all members via the BridgeWeb e-mail system. 

When/if you do find a partner please let Peter Godfrey know and he will delete your request.

Please note that the number that will be shown if you tick "My Phone" will be your Primary Number which may be your Mobile Number. Where this is the case the "My Mobile" number may infact be your landline number if we have note of one. This is just a querk of the system.

NOTE:- Via the Members Area you can only request a partner for yourself. You cannot request a partner for someone else.

Not only will this give you access to the Message Board, but will also mean other members will have access to your contact details. These details are only available to members who have registered

If you have not used this facility before simply press the "Members Only" button on the right of this page, enter your e-mail address and press the "Forgotten Password" button. If your password is not recognised, request a new password which will then be e-mailed to you. You can then log in, and, if you wish, change the password and add other information. 

If you get a message saying your e-mail does not seem to be registered, try just entering your name and if this also does not work please send an email to petergodfrey@btinternet.com and instructions on how to register will then be sent to you.

If you tick the little box next to "Remember Password" you will not have to enter it every time you want to log on.

Once you have registered for entry to the Members Area, you can enter your own requests for a partner which is very simple to do and will take you less time than it will to contact Peter.

Would you please refrain from coming to the bridge club if you are are suffering from a heavy cold or bad cough as we are worried about spreading it to other members who have said they are worried about catching it.

Unfortunately quite a few of us are elderly and vulnerable!.

This gives the Director time to sort out which movement is to be played without delaying the start of play

Please observe the following procedure when filling out the travellers

1. North is responsible for PRINTING on the attendance slip the FULL names of BOTH the pairs playing on their first table with the pair numbers and board numbers. East must check that this has been done correctly.

2. North is responsible for completing the Traveller after each board is played. East must then be shown the Traveller and it is their responsibility to check that what has been entered is correct.

3. ALL players must pay attention to what they are being told before play begins and during the breaks in between rounds

The simple observance of the above will make life much easier for everyone especially the scorer.
