Winkworth Shield (Second Round)

The story so far.

Those of you with a very long memory will recall that it has been necessary to rehash, rejig, reorganise and generally mess about with this competition several times in order to keep the show on the road.  It has become necessary to do so yet again but at least this time it has produced progress.

Alex and Warren are no more or at at least no more on Mondays and in their place stand Alex and Pierre.  Sadly this has availed them nothing as they met and were defeated by Richard and Simon when they played their long-delayed head-to-head yesterday (Mon. 28/09).  A & P had a plus handicap of 4 to add to their score of 46.19% while R & S had 2% deducted from their score of 55.71.

The second round is now completed and the survivors are:

Martin & Andrew; Richard & Simon; John & Shellee; Sue & Lindsay.

The draw for round 3 will be made tomorrow (Wed. 30/09).
