Kenmare Congress - 15 &16th November
8 of our members took part (thanks for the information and pictures Michelle). And putting in a strong performance in particular were Mary Hayes & Kathleen O'Connor who claimed first place in the Area Masters section; Karen & Liam Magnier who claimed second place in the Intermediate-A's section; and Oliver Reilly who was part of the second place team.
A full weekend of bridge was enjoyed by all. And results follow:
Saturday Afternoon there was a Open Pairs competition - results are here.
Saturday night followed with two Open Pairs competitions - results are split into parts - Part A results here, and Part B results here.
Saturday also saw the Congress Pairs hosted over 2 sessions - the overall results are here.

Club pairs - 1st Session on Thursday 13th November, 2nd Session on Thursday 20th November
Entries open on Tuesday 11th and will close at 12 noon Thursday. As it is a 2-session event (played over 2 nights) the total entry fee €20 per player is payable on the first night.
Played over 2 sessions, same pair to enter both sessions. Entries are restricted to members whose club handicap is 10 or less. Handicap will not be used in determining winner.
For other members there will still be the usual game held upstairs on these nights.
Trophy will be presented to this year's winners at the President's Dinner.
In February ann equivalent competition (The Club Cup) will take place for members with a handicap greater than 10.

The Committee of Fermoy Bridge Club, on behalf of its members, acknowledges with thanks the support of Cork County Council for providing the club with funds during the 2024/25 season.
These funds have been used for upgrading the clubhouse during the past year.
