About GDPR

This page explains how Farnborough Bridge Club are allowed to use your personal data.  The policy was set in line with the 2018 changes to the Data Protection Act. 

We attach a link to our new Privacy Notice which explains what personal data we store and how we store it, along with the legal basis for our use of this data.

There is also a copy on the club notice board. The main difference for you as a member is that we have reset all your opt-in options to opt-out, as this is the new default option under GDPR. If you want to receive informational e-mail messages from us, you will need to change Opt in to bulk e-mail to Yes. If you want your contact details available to other members, you will need to change Opt in to list to Yes. You can also restrict what details are displayed by changing the following fields .

- Opt-In Show Email - The email will not show in any list. .

- Opt-In Show Phone - The phone will not show in any list.

- Opt-In Show Mobile - The mobile will not show in any list.

You can also restrict your NGS rank and EBU grade from appearing by changing the following field .

- Opt-In Show Rank etc. - The EBU/ACBL Rank, NGS or Master Points will not show in any list.

After you have made any changes you need to click on the Save button. We will no longer be circulating a members list with contact details, the contact details will only be available via the club web site.

Below are details for setting up your members only logon, if you have not already done this, if you have any problems let me know. Alternatively, please let me know in writing or e-mail me at FarnboroughBridge@gmail.com with the specific settings you require and I will implement them for you. Website ‘Members Only’ section To register go to the web site, click on the Members Only tab on the left hand side on the home page and follow the instructions to register for the first time. You just need to enter your email address and click the Set password button. Re-enter your e-mail address and click Continue. An email will automatically be sent to the email address you have entered. Click on the link in the email and you will be taken back to the sign on page. Choose your own password, repeat it, click on Reset and you will be logged in. * With a shared email addresses, enter this e-mail address and the e-mail message you receive will have a link for each of you, once you have each set your password you must use your EBU number rather than e-mail address to logon.
