Moorland Hotel 24th - 26th April 2020
We are planning an away weekend for club members at the Moorland Hotel close to Hay Tor on Dartmoor.
If enough members are interested we hope to take over the entire hotel from Friday evening to Sunday evening.
We have negotiated an all-inclusive price with the hotel which will include accommodation on Friday and Saturday night, two evening meals (Friday and Saturday), and two breakfast and lunches (Saturday and Sunday). Coffee and a range of teas will be available throughout the time of our stay at no extra charge.
There will be a small supplement for use of a single room, but we hope many members will feel able to share in a double or twin room.
We will be finalising the price to members soon.
The hotel has a total of 36 rooms, 30 of which are double or twin. All rooms are fully ensuite, and the whole hotel has recently undergone substantial renovation.
For more details see hotel’s website.
We are planning four or five bridge sessions, with a variety of formats. Depending on demand, club members are welcome to bring their nonmember partners, and if there is sufficient demand we may organise other non-bridge activities. The hotel is a wonderful site within walking distance of Hay Tor and keen walkers may be interested to explore the surrounding countryside.
At this stage we are still formulating ideas about how to organise activities over the weekend, and we would welcome all suggestions and requests.
