Evesham Bridge Club is affiliated to the English Bridge Union and the Worcestershire Contract Bridge Association. We hold 3 sessions of bridge each week to cater for all levels of experience. Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Thursday Evenings.

Congratulations to Veronica Enticknap and Ronnie Moore who have retained the Rhodes Lawrence Trophy which is awarded to the pair with the highest average score across the twelve months from June 2018 to May 2019. They averaged 57.5%. Mark Stretch and Wilf Atkinson were second on 56.6% and Barry Sayers and Chris Enticknap were third on 55.2%.
Congratulations to Brenda Gallagher and Dee Whitehead who have won the Hobbs trophy for 2018-2019. This is awarded to the pair which has the biggest improvement in their average score over the twelve months from June to May. Their score improved by +3.9%. In second place with +3.6% were Doris Newman and John Cotton and third were Barbara Nicholson and Mike Webb on +1.9%.
Congratulations to Lance Evans who has won the Tuesday Competition prize awarded for the highest average score over the last year. Maggie Ellis was a close second.
Monday is open to all levels of bridge player and is the ideal starting point for new and inexperienced players as the pace is much more relaxed. The afternoon is broken up with a tea/coffee break when there is time for a chat and perhaps a few useful tips. Visitors are welcome. Please ring Wendy for details.
