It was announced that our club had been able to send a cheque for £120.00 to "Children in Need" which was raised after the "Sim Pairs competion on the 12th November this year.  Very many thanks on behalf of this charity to all our members who contributed.

4th September 2013

The Chairman of our club announced last night that members would have the opportunity once again to support The HONEYPOT Children's Charity this Christmas time.

In association with the Rotary Club of the New Forest ( www.newforestrotary.co.uk )    we were invited to fill a shoe box with suitable gifts for boys or girls aged between 7 & 9.

Leaflets giving full details of this venture were available on the night & will continue to be available over the forthcoming weeks on Tuesdays.

Please help this very worthwhile "local" charity if you can.

                                  THANK YOU.

On the 11th May 2013 two of our club members, Eve & Phill, took part in an eight mile cycle ride organised by the New Forest Rotary Club which started and finished at Burley Park..  Described as a "Fun" ride, competitors were able to nominate their charity of choice and again "The Honeypot Children's Charity" was the one to be chosen.  Eve described the route through the forest as "shaded by trees in full bud with the sunlight streaming gently through".  She & Phill pedaled their way off road to the finish and raised £50 in so doing.  Stirling work by them both so well done guys and to all the people who sponsored you.

GREAT STUFF!

Following a successful Charity Evening at the Everton Bridge Club on 19th March 2013, the Chairman Jim Knight, was delighted to hand over a cheque for £300 to Emma Larter, Community and Trusts Manager for the Honeypot Charity.
