| National Pairs Championship |
The National Pairs Championship is a two session EBU event held at various venues simultaneously.
The event will be match pointed over the entire field via the internet.
The starting times at all venues will be 13.00pm and 2 sessions of 24 boards will be played with a break between sessions.
The second session will start at approximately 5.30pm.
A trophy will be awarded to the Essex pair progressing furthest through the competition.

| 2018 Regional & National Finals |
53 pairs contested the Eastern Regional heat, held at Barleylands and Stamford. Sandy Riach & Jacek Lapszys came 2nd and Richard Register & John Sutcliffe came 3rd.
These Regional heats are rolled up nationally and the top 50 qualify for the National Final in April. Congratulations to Sandy Riach & Jacek Lapszys, Richard Register & John Sutcilffe, Graham Beeton & Ray Clarke, Paul Spencer & Marc Chawner, Chris Chorley and Paddy Murray, Robert Elliott & David Piper qualifying for the finals.
In the National Pairs Final, Sandy Riach & Jacek Lapszys came 3rd and Marc Chawner & Paul Spencer came 6th.

| 2017 Regional & National Finals |
32 pairs contested the Billericay half of the Eastern Regional final held at Barleylands. When rolled-up with Stamford, Robert Elliott & Peter Oake came 5th (of 52).
These Regional finals are rolled up nationally and the top 50 qualify for the National Final in April. Congratulations to Robert Elliott & Peter Oake, Sandy & Martin Smith, John Sutcliffe & Richard Register and Ashley Nicklin & Fran Alexander for qualifying for the finals in 17th, 26th, 42nd and 48th place, respectively (of 212 pairs).
In the National Final, Richard Register & John Sutcliffe came a creditable 23rd and consequently won the cups for 2017.

| 2016 Regional Final |
28 pairs contested the new-format Billericay half of the Eastern Regional final held at Barleylands. When rolled-up with Peterborough, Val & Paul Mollison came 5th and Richard Register & John Sutcliffe 6th (of 51 pairs).
These Regional finals are rolled up nationally and the top 50 qualify for the National Final in April. Congratulations to Val, Paul, Richard & John for making it to the finals in 25th and 33rd place, respectively (of 244 pairs).
