SNOW Policy

EBC follows the Lake Washington School District snow closures.  Generally, if schools are closed so are we.  We will do our best to up date the website in the early morning hours to let you know when there is snow, if we are closed.

New for 2020 - Brownie Friday

Because our world is a bit scary right now ... something to brighten up your month.  Last Friday of the month will be Special Brownie Friday!!


First up : January  Snow Day Coconut Brownies. (January 31st!)

Winter 2020 Bridge Lessons start in January - Beginning in January we are offering Play of the Hand :

Winter Lessons are starting - however we are running Winter a bit different with our classes starting at different timeframes;

We Begin with PLAY OF THE HAND  - with Craig Mills Instructing


Designed for those who have the basics, this class will teach you to play your hand & bid competively when others are in the auction, preemptive bidding, overcalls, takeout doubles & negative doubles. The 8-week curriculum is part of the Club Series by award-winning teacher and author Audrey Grant & approved by the ACBL, and includes some lecture, much discussion, practice applying new bidding skills, snacks, laughter, and playing bridge.  Class requires minimum of 8 students.

Class dates: January 13 to March 2 (Monday)

7:00PM - 9:15PM (8 Weeks)

And then later in the winter, February to March timeframe we will schedule both : Beginning Bridge ( Jeremy Gulley)  & Tom Carmicheal with an Advanced Supervised Play - all come with a wealth of expierence and are ready to introduce you to the world of duplicate bridge or new adventures in bridge!   In addition, watch our website for our Mentor games in March timeframe.

New Limited Game Added to Thursday 10am

To Our Novice & Intermediate Bridge Players .. Added Game to Thursday 10am Game (0-400)

We are totally committed to supporting newer players at Eastside Bridge, and we are delighted to offer you your own games to play in. You have embraced our limited MP player games on our Monday (0-400) and Friday (0-200) morning games, and Wednesday(0-750) evening games .   And you have encouraged us with your attendance at these games! 

We are pleased to announce beginning August 1 (Thursday) we will add a limited game to our Thursday schedule.  This game will be a 0-400 game!  For those looking for an additional game ... here you go!!

(Remember, we will run these game - with 3 or more TABLES, keeping them separate from the open game.  We hope you will continue to embrace these limited games.)

Supervised Play - Tuesday start time 6:30

CALLING ALL NEWER PLAYERS - Supervised Play Tuesday Evenings

Friendly Reminder ...   We are offering a supervised play starting at 6:30pm.  This will not be a sanctioned game, no masterpoints involved.  However we will have pre-dealt hands & hand records, and the best part ... you can ask questions of the director, your partner, the opponents.  This will be the place to explore your bridge game before you start playing in our Novice Games (Monday Lunch Game,  Friday Morning and Saturday Morning).  The cost will be $15 per game, you can come every Tuesday to build up your knowledge and playing skills or just for a week or two - if you need a little bridge bounce!  See you there!  Jeremy has premade hands and lessons to go with them!
