it is implicit the Rules and Procedures apply equally to Kilmun BC.

DUNOON BRIDGE CLUB
The President and Committee of Dunoon Bridge Club welcome you.
The Clubs aim is to provide the opportunity of playing duplicate bridge in a “No Fear” friendly environment.
By this we mean you should have no fear of:
Dunoon Bridge Club like all other bridge clubs follow the guidelines, best practice and procedures and law set out by the Scottish Bridge Union Laws on Duplicate Bridge.
It is the aim of Dunoon Bridge Club to continually raise our standards of play and our understanding and interpretation of the key rules of bridge, so we can all enjoy a free flowing game. This following information sets out areas that we need to know and help all members to understand.

Best practice for North
As soon as the bridgemate has been made live enter players number NS EW
As soon as the contract is known enter the contract and declarer
As soon as the opening lead is made enter the information
At the end of play agree the number of tricks made before entering details
After pressing the OK button show opponents the verification screen
Best practice for East
Check board number, contract, declarer and number of tricks on the screen
Do Not press the Accept or OK until you are satisfied that the data is correct
If issues have arisen call the Director
Slow Play
Whilst we all need time to study our cards, slow play can cause frustration and backlog when others are held up, so please follow the SBU ruling as near as possible.

Bidding Box Regulations
This is to clarify article 8
At the end of each auction the calls should remain in place until the opening lead has been faced and al explanations have been obtained, after which they should be returned to their boxes.
Law 7 Control of Boards and Cards
The law requires you to count your cards face down after removing them from the board or wallet.
On completion of the game you should recount the cards and shuffle them prior to returning them to the board.
Please remember when at the sit-out table, If you remove cards from any board you must ensure the correct number of cards go back in the same position that they were taken from.
Under the disciplinary procedures of duplicate bridge
Interfering with the smooth running of an event (section)
The Director has the right to issue a Procedural Penalty (as Follows)

Important information that all club members must follow the laws of bridge.
Law 74 Conduct and Etiquette
A player MUST avoid any discourteous remarks or action that might cause annoyance or embarrassment to another player or might interfere with the enjoyment of the game.
Play your own hand don't tell others how they should have played and remember the difference between telling and advising in a nice manner.
All players MUST avoid loud talking at the table especially if discussing previous hand, this also applies when sitting at sit-out table.
Every player should follow uniform and correct procedure in calling and playing.
Every player should refrain from:
Paying insufficient attention to the game.
Making gratuitous comments during the auction and game
Detaching a card before it is his/hers turn to play
Prolonging play unnecessary
Summoning and addressing the Director in a discourteous manner.
The following are also considered violations of procedures:
Using different designations for same call
Indicating approval or disapproval of a call or play
Indicating the expectation of winning or losing a trick that has not been completed
Commenting or acting during the auction or play so as to call attention to a significant
occurrence, or to the number of tricks still required for success.
Looking intently at any other player during the auction or playing (seen as intimidation)
Showing an obvious lack of interest in a deal (as by folding cards)
Varying normal tempo of bidding or play for the purpose of disconcerting an opponent.
Leaving the table needlessly before round is called.
The Role of the Director
The appointed Director has the final say on all matters relating to the interpretation of the rules and procedures.
The appointed Director has the full authority to issue penalties for failing to comply on all aspects of the game as stated.
Any player or team has the right to appeal if they think they have been misjudged after the end of play ( not while in play).
