| Payment of Table Money - Card Only from 1 July |
We have been collecting table money using the Sumup system on Monday and Thursday nights since late 2024, and this is now the preferred method of payment for most members. As mentioned at the recent AGM, operating card and cash payments in parallel is complex, and the Committee has now decided that all payments of table money should be by card only from 1 July 2026. This will apply to all of our regular competitions - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and also Friday mornings.

| Summer Bridge in Dún Laoghaire |
Dún Laoghaire Bridge Club is open to visitors during June, July and August. We play on Mondays, Wednesdays (Intermediates / Novices), and Thursdays at 7.30 pm at 2 Clarinda Park North, Dún Laoghaire. Please arrive in good time to start at 7.30 pm - especially if you haven't played with us before. We also have a social game at 10.00 am on Friday mornings up to the end of June, resuming in September.

| Summer Monday Open Competitions |
Summer Mondays are back!
We will be holding handicapped competitions on alternate Mondays, starting on 15 June and continuing during July and August - see the calendar for dates. Handicaps will be based on grade, as in the President's / Captain's Prize and the Millennium Trophy, ie 0% for Masters, +5% for Intermediate As, +10% for Intermediate Bs and +15% for Novices.
We would hope that as many as possible of our Intermediate B and Novice players who play mostly on Wednesdays and Fridays will join us on those dates, and take the opportunity to meet other members who play on Mondays and Thursdays.
As usual, our Monday and Thursday competitions are open to non-members during the summer months.
