Dun Laoghaire Pay-to-Play Online Bridge

Dun Laoghaire Bridge Club is now running Pay-to-Play Online Bridge on Mondays and Thursdays - 7.30pm start.
The game is for the members of the club and Dun Laoghaire’s Wednesday night players are also invited to participate.

This is a brand new arrangement so if you wish to take part you need to do the following.

  • Text or Email your BBO username to Michael Rowan at email michaelrowan62@yahoo.com      Mobile Number  087 763 8948  (even if you have given Michael this information for the previous arrangement you will need to do it again).
  • Buy credit on BBO (BB$).  Log on to BBO and look for the BB$ link. The Paypal option is easy to use and 20 BB$’s should cost you less than £20.

(If you do not have a Pay Pal account and need help in setting up one,  David Little will help you, David's number is 086 241 7928).

We will be charging 3 BB$'s for a night's bridge.

When looking for the tournament on BBO the Host name will be ‘CBAI125461’.
And the event will be known as ‘Dun Laoghaire’.
It will be listed in the ‘All Tournaments’ section.

Please note that the 2pm tourneys that have been running daily under the ‘Dun Laoghaire /Carrick/Ace of Clubs’ name will no longer take place on Mondays and Thursdays but will continue on the other five days of the week.

BRIDGEBASE ONLINE USEFUL GUIDE

BBO - donít get left behind!

There has been a change to the way BBO operates. In the past we have told you that if you register for a tourney you can then play a 'casual' game on site while you are waiting and will be automatically 'pulled in' to the tourney when it starts.
This is no longer the case. Now you need to be waiting in the 'competitive' area in the five minutes before the tourney starts.
So register at the normal time and then log off if you wish (or play elsewhere on site) but be sure to be back and waiting in the 'Competitive' area 5 mins before the tourney is due to start.
