One of the club committee members Liz Kelly runs a 20 week bridge for beginners course on a Monday evening usually starting in October each year. 

Liz attended the EBU teacher training course in 2017 and has been teaching bridge every year since.

Originally lessons were held through the Isle of Man college but since covid Liz has been holding them at her house.

Once students have completed the course they are encouraged to join Douglas Bridge Club.
