A difficult one to start with.
North can make the bidding difficult for the opponents by opening with a weak 2♥ . Some will not like the suit strength, but in position 1 or 3 it is a reasonable bid NV. Here is an interesting article on the subject for the modern weak(er) pre-empts including 5 card length suits. But if it it not for you, just pass.
East has a difficult bid. If there is a suit fit he is really strong. AQ over the North ♥ bid and 2 reasonabel suits with support. However he will probably have to pass.
South has nothing to say, with 3♥ s he would make life difficult by raising to 3♥ , but he doesn't.
West will bid, the choice being double (but over a 3♦ bid he may have to bid 3NT). This is a great hand for the Lebensol response to a double of a weak 2. It is simple, any bid is 8+HCPs and 2NT is used for weak hands <8HCps forcing partner to bid 3♣ which is passed or corrected. Here East will bid
The Lebensohl 2NT (and then showing a balanced hand by cue-bidding or bidding 3NT) shows a stopper in the opponent’s suit. (“Slow Shows” is the way that many people remember which way around these are played.) So here East will bid 2NT and over Wests 3♣ (forced unless mega stron >20>HCPs) East will bid 3♥ showing ♥ stop and 4+♠ s.
West will probably bid 4♠. Whilst 6♠ makes, it is a poorish slam, needing to pick up the KJ of trumps and the s♦ 33 to allow throwing the ♣s.
If North does not pre-empt with 2♥
East will bid 1♦
West will bid 1♠
East has a stronger hand with a fit, so will bid probably 3♠ s (6 losers) and Kaplan Hand Evaluator gives 13.9 rather than 11HCPs.
Over 3♠ s West is interested in slam and will cue bid 4♦ (strong hand and slam interest) and Easts ♣ void becomes useful and may bid RKCB 4NT.
West will respond 5♥ (2KCs and without Q trumps).
If East went 4NT he will bid 6♠ and hopefully make!
Over the pre-empt of 2♥ he is less likely to bid and make a slam.
