South has a great strong hand if they can find a fit.

So open with 1 and then reverse into  to show shape and HCPs

West will make life difficult by bidding 3♠

North should probably pass.

East will sense that NS have a  fit. So worried over South doubling to show  s East should bid 4♠ to the level of fit - Andrew Robson on Level of Fit).

South will be pulling his hair out, but being NV he can double that as no suit has been agreed it will be Take Out. This is a good rule, rather than saying all doubles up to say 3♠ are TO. When they get to the 4 level you can pass the double if you have very good trumps in their suit. Partner is showing a good hand with his double.

North with 6 s and 3♠ s (so partner will be short in ♠ s, singleton or probably void) and being NV will bid 5

East will pass and South will wonder whether to bid 6  , the finesses will be good, but there is no way to explore due to the aggresive bidding by E/W.
