Another hand evaluation and decisions to make!
East should open 1♥ , his hand is very powerful 9HCPs. If you use the Kaplan hand evaluator = K&R (8 AQ98532 --- QJT97) = 15.70!
South will pass.
West will make the bid that East didn't want to hear - 2♦
North opposite a passed hand with 7 ♠ suit and 13HCPs has to choose between 3♠ and the more aggresive 4♠ . 6 loser hand and vulnerable and opposition has unlimited points so partner may have nothing.
Over 3♠ East will bid 4♣
South will pass and West will correct to 4♥ which makes. If you bid 3♠ you should pass, 4♠ now is likely to be doubled.
Over 4♠ East has a difficult decision. Pass, 5♣ or 5♥ all of which could be correct.
