A difficult one to start with. Bid to game or not. Crucial hand evaluation.

North 11HCPs with good intermdiates, but balanced 5332. I think most people will open this with a major and a safe rebid. So 1♥ 

East should pass.

South will bid 1♠ though totally flat 4333.

North will rebid 2♥ .

South can either invite with 3♥  or bid a game with 3NT that might be the best duplicate contract with 4333 as there may not be any additional tricks with trumps or bid a direct 4♥ 

South would normally want to bid game +11+15HCPs, but the from a hand evaluation point of view, it is a poor 15HCPs 4333 shape, 2Qs so an invite might be correct which North will pass.

Half bid 4♥ s and went 1 off for a bottom

Half bid 3♥ making for a top!
