Our new card dealing machine has arrived!. Marie is already testing it out and building some familiarity with its operation, and we will likely have the first hands available for next Tuesday's tournament.
It is a Jannersten Duplimate mk VI, which is extensively used in bridge clubs right across Europe, and there are many dotted across the bridge clubs here in Ireland.

Ideally we should have about 6 members who can operate the new machine, but we will slowly build towards this. Let us know if you are interested in being part of this.
The benefits of having the machine include...
- all hands can now be included with results on Bridgewebs, a very valuable learning tool
- true random hands can be created
- shaped hands can be created (high value / high distribution), so we could create a competition suited to beginners, or indeed for advanced players
- time saved in dealing / counting cards. When we use the machine, all cards will be pre-dealt.
