Events for 2020-21
Coronavirus - Covid-19

Firstly, we hope that all members of the County are safe and well and are managing to cope with the difficult times and changes we are currently going through.

The County Committee are of the opinion that we are potentially a long way away from playing face to face bridge either within a club environment or during a County Event.

Due to this outlook, it is envisaged that we will try to hold as many of the usual County Events that we can online.  We understand that this will not suit all everyone but it gives us a chance to continue with competitive bridge and for the County to keep in touch with its members.  We will try and keep the usual dates for our County Competitions and schedule them accordingly - we will publish the propsed schedule shortly.

We are planning on using BBO for all events in the short term - although this may change as and when more appropriate options become available to us.

The first event that we want to bring your attention to is the County Teams knock-out.  Please click here to enter - entries must be received by the end of October 2020 and we will make a draw as soon as possible after this and published on the website in the usual way.  Full instructions on how to schedule matches etc can be found on the County Teams pages.

In the meantime look after yourselves and each other.

  • Please select the County Events menu item on the left or click here.
  • You will then see the dates of all the upcoming events.
  • A full list of events will also be displayed in the menu on the left below County Events.
  • Select the menu for the event you wish to enter and you will be presented with an entry form that you may complete to enter the competition.
  • You may also view the rules of the competition and the previous winners on each of the County Events pages.

It does makes the task of organising and holding these events on your behalf so much simpler if we know who is attending in advance, as we are able to deal the correct number of boards and have the movement pre-planned.
