It seemed quite the coincidence that this fixture once again coincided with the Blackpool Air Show, and I would have to say that Lancashire and had certainly set their sights skywards with every intent of winning back the Pearce McNamara Trophy; it was very evident from when you walked into the room to see the players that Lancashire had fielded for this return fixture. The Lancashire Team were certainly jet propelled flying high on the day and I am sorry that we were on the tail end of quite a thrashing.
I would like to thank ALL the Cumbria Players who made themselves available for this fixture and I must congratulate Alan & Carolynne Farmer, Howard Brown & Margaret Thornley who all produced a very commendable performance and finishing with a positive in the Butler Scores.
Once again, my sincere thanks to all the team and here's hoping we can hi-jack the trophy back next year.
