| Special Holiday Game Saturday, December 27 at 1 p.m. in Carson |
No bridge Wednesday, Dec. 24. No bridge Wednesday, Dec. 31. It was looking bleak for dedicated bridge players for the last two weeks of December!
With that in mind, Carson game manager Vicki Rowe arranged with the Carson Senior Center to have a special Holiday Game on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 1 p.m. In addition, she arranged with Red's Old 395 Grill on South Carson Street to let us use their semi-private space for dinner at 5 p.m. ( You can join us for dinner even if you don't play that day.) Everyone will pay for their own dinner so this isn't like the annual Unit-hosted Christmas party (this year, the party is on Valentine's Day in February). But it will be a pleasant way for friends to get together in the spirit of the season.
You can help us out now by indicating whether you will participate (yes, no or unsure but maybe). We will have our normal registration process after the Dec. 17 game for an exact headcount, but in the meantime we need to know whether enough people will attend to make this work.

 THIS REGISTRATION FORM IS FOR THE DEC. 17 GAME. Guarantee your seats at the Carson City game by registering you and your partner each week before 9 p.m. Tuesday night for the Wednesday noon game. You may not make a reservation after 9 p.m. Tuesday. However, if you miss the deadline, you are welcome to come without a reservation and will be seated as long as there are available unreserved tables. If you need to make changes, call Kathy Beasley at 916-524-4257.

Sharing Sad News:
We were sorry to learn about the passing of Michael Regan on November 20. He was a former director for the Gardnerville club and a frequent player in both Gardnerville and Carson City, usually partnered with Carolyn Kellogg. A life master, he and Carolyn played an adventuresome form of Precision. His many friends will miss him at our games.
