President Marianne and her committee wish all members a sunny and happy Summer. We look forward to seeing all those tanned faces for our resumption of bridge on Tuesday September 3rd..
The AGM took place in a relaxed atmosphere Tue 21st May. The meeting was opened by Hon Sec Sheila O'Mahony. All the officer reports were precise and duly proposed and seconded. The motion in relation to the Regional Bridge Club was defeated.
Sheila O' Mahony takes a well earned rest after sterling service to the club in her role as Hon Sec. Ex Officio Brigid Connolly leaves the committee having served with distinction in many positions including President. We wish Eileen Salmon well in her new role as Hon Sec.
Special thanks was conveyed by the membership to our outgoing President Graham on his outstanding year at the helm. His colourful and entertaining approach to his duties will long be remembered. We also wish his "Friend" well.
All who made any contribution to the smooth running of the club were thanked by Graham. The meeting closed and members returned to the primary function ie. trying to play bridge.
Finally, we all wish President Marianne a happy and successfull reign.
