Tips for playing on BBO:
1) Make sure to text or email us your screen name if you are having difficulty registering for one of our games. We have to make sure your screen name is loaded in our virtual Bridge Connection club.
2) Use the Chat function – Make sure the chat window is open so that you can see any Director announcements or if your opponents ask you questions about your agreements.
3) When playing, please be mindful of the time. There is a digital clock each round and when time expires, you advance to the next round.
4) Self-Alerting. If you make a bid that is alertable, you have to “self-alert.” There is a space under the bid where you can write a short explanation. The explanations appear to your opponents but NOT your partner.
5) We can find you a partner. Just try to give us ample time prior to game time! You will need to call the club, Grant or Mike.
We are still monitoring The Bridge Connection phone. Please feel free to call or text us at the club phone number: 248-356-6254 if you have any questions or suggestions!
We look forward to reconnecting with you for on-line bridge!

Effective Sunday, March 15th, The Bridge Connection will be closed until further notice.
To our valued players, we have decided out of an abundance of caution to temporarily close the Bridge Connection. Your safety and health as players and the safety and health of our Directors and volunteers is paramount.
We feel the most important action we can take is doing everything we can to ensure the safety of everyone involved with The Bridge Connection.
We understand the benefit the club provides for friendship, community and enjoying the game we all love.
We will continue to keep you posted on any new developments and changes. Please check this website for updates as we will try to give you as much information as possible.
Please continue to take care of yourself and your families. We look forward to welcoming everyone back soon.
The Bridge Connection is taking steps to help prevent infection and ensure a safe playing environment.
Effective today, March 13th, here are the steps we have implemented:
- 7th Generation Anti-Viral & Anti-Bacterial Cleaner is being used to disinfect playing tables and areas – The label states that the cleaner “Kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria.”
- Disposable Gloves – We have a large supply of XS, S, M, L & XL disposable gloves that we are asking all players to wear while playing. At the afternoon game today, 100% of players wore the gloves. This use of disposable gloves is for both your safety and your fellow players. Thanks to everyone for taking this precaution.
- Food – We have decided to suspend food service effective Monday, March 16th.
- Paper Towels in Bathrooms – Our landlord has agreed to allow paper towels in the bathroom. In the past, these were eliminated as individuals were flushing the paper towels down the toilet consequently clogging up the sewer system. Please do not flush paper towels down the toilets for any reason.
As we have posted at the club and on our website, if you have traveled internationally or have taken a domestic cruise, we ask that you take a 14 day hiatus from playing when you return from your travel.
In addition, if you have any symptoms of a common cold including coughing, sneezing, running nose, sore throat, fever, etc. we ask that you stay home and not play.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and we look forward to things returning to normal once this crisis resolves.
