All games will be held at noon.
The games start at noon. Management has asked we do not arrive until 11:30, since others may be using the space before us. They also need time to set up. Thank you for your consideration so we can continue to use this space. If we do not follow the Ford's Colony guidelines, we may be asked to leave. Also, please wait patiently at the gate. They must stop each car as it comes in. This is a privilege, so we must follow the rules. Thanks!
Greetings to one and all from Williamsburg, the restored 18th century Colonial Capital of Virginia and training ground for many of our greatest founding fathers including George Washington, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, George Mason and so many others. One nation, under God, then, now and forever.
History is perhaps our greatest forte, but we also play lots of bridge here and boast many formidable players. The Colonial Duplicate Bridge Club meets every Friday at 12 Noon at the Swim & Tennis Club in Ford's Colony. This club is centrally located at 165 St. Andrews Drive in a lovely gated community in James City County, near Williamsburg. Complimentary coffee and snacks are available. Our club owner and director is Cathy Hildebrand, email@example.com, 757-345-3793. Cathy is a certified ACBL instructor and Ruby Life Master.
If you find yourselves in our famous town, you and your partner are cordially invited to join us in this open, ACBL sanctioned game.
From the East (Newport News):
There will be a STaC game Friday, June 14. You will earn silver points and have a chance to place in the overalls in the District.
Thanks for playing in this special event. Go to ECatsbridge to find the hand analysis and results which have been uploaded from around the world!! Your club results are on this website as usual. Clubs are not required to report to the ACBL until the end of the month. We have 36 hours to report for the Worldwide event. So, you may not know how you did nationally for some time.
Join us Friday June 21 to raise money for the Alzheimer's Associaton. There will be a free class at 10:30 on Hand Evaluation. At 11:30 a free lunch will be served. We will play at noon. Patricia Richeson is acquiring lots of great door prizes. I hope you can join us. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to attend, too. We hope a lot of social bridge players will be interested in coming.
This is the Friday they have the blood drive at Ford's Colony. Queen's Lake is not available. So, we are not having a game this one Friday. There is a Sectional in Richmond, so you may want to attend and support our neighbors!
If the Williamsburg-James City County Schools are closed due to weather, we will be closed. If they are on a two-hour delay, we will hold the game.
