Welcome to Collier Row
NO BRIDGE TONIGHT

There will be no bridge this evening, 20th October, due to illness.

CLUB NOW OPEN FOR FACE TO FACE BRIDGE

Collier Row Bridge Club is now fully open for bridge on Wednesday evenings, in room 7 of the North Romford Community Centre. Table Money £3.50 per player, all welcome.

The North Romford Community Centre is a COVID secure venue and has a full Risk Assessment in place. Please see the NRCA website for full details. In addition, we are following the Risk Assessment for Bridge Clubs as recommended by the EBU (see link in Information section).

We are continuing to take all sensible precautions. In line with NRCA policy, please wear a mask when entering or moving around the centre - you can remove it when seated at the bridge table or in the bar. Hand sanitisers are provided at all tables, and players are asked to retain their own bidding boxes throughout the evening. Disposable gloves are also provided to use if you wish.

Please let Helen know if you are coming so we can assess numbers. If you wish to play but do not have a partner, please also contact Helen (01708 751074) and she will do her best to help.

WELCOME

Welcome to the Collier Row Bridge Club web site.

Collier Row Bridge Club is a constituent section of the North Romford Community Association and operates within the terms of the NRCA constitution (please see the information section of this website for a copy of the NRCA constitution and further information about the NRCA). Membership of the club is obtained by becoming a member of the NRCA. Current annual subscriptions are £25 for an individual (£20 if a Senior Citizen) and £40 for a family.

Bridge is played at the North Romford Community Centre, Clockhouse Lane, Collier Row RM5 3QJ, on Wednesdays at 7.30pm. We use bridgemate scoring and results are on display at the end of the session.

Visitors are welcome. Table money is £3.50 and visitors are welcome to try the club on three separate occasions before deciding whether they wish to join.

There is free parking on site, and a licensed bar is available for use by centre users (including Bridge club members and visitors). Membership of the Association gives you full access to the Community Centre and its activities, as well as discounts on purchases from the bar and unlimited free parking in the centre car park.

Competition News

Unfortunately, playing of the Club Teams of 4 on 5th March 2020 had to be abandoned due to the failure of one pair to turn up. The competition was played instead on 12th March 2020, although there were only two teams. The winners were Stella Holland and Bob Robinson, Kit Charlton and Robert Elliott and the runners up Maureen Huntingford and Sue Sayer, Frank Hall and John Sayer.
