The next Foundation Course will start 17th September 2025.

Venue: 'The Bridge Room', Pond House, Church Road, Boxted CO4 5TQ

Day/time (2023-24): Wednesdays 9.45am - 12.15pm  
The first session is a FREE TASTER session, then weekly in term times (dates available by email) until end June 26.


Fees

You need to book a place on the course and the first session is a 'no obligation' to check you want to continue!  
Each module/term is payable in advance based on number of sessions in that block (@ £14 per session).
Term dates, session topics and fee details can be emailed to you.  Comprehensive lesson summary, slides and support materials are emailed after each session.

'Quickstart' - an introduction to Bridge

This is a 6-week course, to get people playing basic Bridge straight away.

Date of next Quickstart course: to be arranged
(no current demand for this course, since the Foundation course is preferred, though call Emma to discuss further)

Fees:  The course consists of 6 weekly sessions, each session costing £12.

The total fee of £72 is payable at the start of the course

Refresh and Progress

This is a ten-week course for those who have attended classes previously and want to improve their bidding.

Formal teaching will be kept to a minimum. The sessions will start with a short orientation quiz and will then concentrate on bidding and discussion of set hands.

(NB This course is not suitable as an introduction to Bridge or for those who have been away from the game for a long time.
Consider the 1-year Foundation course instead)

Fees

The course consists of 10 weekly sessions, each session costing £14

The total fee of £140 is payable at the start of the course (or in 2 instalments).

Continuing bridge
 

These classes assume that you know the basics and have developed over time 'improver/intermediate' level play!
 

For people who have completed the Foundation Year and/or the 'Refresh and Progress' course

Advanced topics for Duplicate players.
No partner required!
