Our Bridge Refresher Course is designed for players who have either been away from the game and need a quick refresher or have completed their Beginners Course and seek more in-depth learning. This course is ideal for anyone looking to strengthen their foundational skills.

Course Details:

  • Format: Interactive lessons and practice hands
  • Cost: £100 for full course 

Course Topics:

  1. Doubles: Understanding different types of doubles and when to use them effectively.
  2. RKCB and 2C Openings: Roman Key Card Blackwood and responses to 2C opening bids.
  3. Defending: Strategies for effective defense techniques and partnerships.
  4. Responding to Weak 2s with a Strong Hand: Methods for bidding and handling strong hands against preemptive bids.
  5. Opener's Rebids: Techniques for describing opener's hand strength and distributional features.
  6. Responders Options: Various bidding options available to the responder based on the auction.
  7. 1NT Responses & The Wriggle: Responses to 1NT opening bids and adjusting bids based on partner's actions.
  8. 2S Transfer & 3 Level Responses: Transfers after a 1NT opening and responder's subsequent bids at the three-level.
  9. Establishing a Suit: Techniques for establishing a long suit and maximizing tricks.
  10. The Danger Hand: Identifying and managing the danger hand in defense and declarer play.
