1. Absent

2. Confirmation of the minutes of the previous meeting
The minutes of the meeting of 6th June 2022 were confirmed and the Chairman signed them.
3. To Report on the Actioning of Items from Previous Meetings
- 22-2Ⓐ1 The committee agreed to leave table money pricing at £2.50 for members, but to reconsider the matter at the next committee meeting in the light of how attendance evolves. ⓓⓞⓝⓔ. See item 4 below.
- 21-2Ⓐ2 VB to create a 'Looking for a Partner' book. ⓓⓞⓝⓔ. See item 5 below.
4. Review of the Club's Progress towards Profitability
PH presented the Income and Expenditure Account for the eight months ending 31st August 2022. The Club achieved a surplus of nearly £200 in the period thanks in part to the arrival of 15 new members, sufficient stocks of bridge stationery, and tight control of spending on biscuits.
- 22-3Ⓐ1 The committee agreed to leave table money pricing at £2.50 for members.
- 22-3Ⓐ2 The committee agreed that, as the Club's finances are tight, we would levy the standard table money charging at this year's Xmas Party.
- 22-3Ⓐ3 The committee agreed to schedule this year's Xmas Party for 19th December at 18.45.
- 22-3Ⓐ4 GW to request access to the Day Centre on 19th December from 18.00.
5. List for Finding Partners
VB has designed a notebook, to be kept in one of the blue drawers at the Club, in which members can record that they are looking for a partner. Each page is dedicated to one future Monday session. GW thanked VB for all she had done.
FD requested that an updated member card be produced, showing against each member: their contact details (if they are willing to be contacted), and their BridgePal ID.

6. Any Other Business
VB wondered whether the Club should be running more tournaments, such as Teams or Swiss Pairs. The general mood of the committee was cautious at this stage: we should like to see more members playing before we try introducing such a tournament.

7. Date of Next Meeting
The next committee meeting will be held at 6pm on Monday 28th November 2022 at Elm Road.
