1. Absent
Vicky Bevan (VB) sent her apologies.
2. Confirmation of the minutes of the previous meeting
The minutes of the meeting of 3rd July were confirmed and the Chairman signed them.
3. To Report on the Actioning of Items from Previous Meetings
- 23-2Ⓐ1 RA to request a Debit Card from Barclays. ⓓⓞⓝⓔ
4. Subscriptions, Table Money etc
The Club's finances are good, with average recent attendance somewhere between 10.5 and 11 tables. The quarterly rental payment and Xmas Party will take a chunk out of our bank account, but we expect to continue to more than cover our costs.
5. Committee Retirements
We have all been in post for too long, as we stated at the last AGM. We encourage members to come forwards and join the committee. If needed, some existing committee members are prepared to stay on and switch to another role. No technical expertise will be leaving the club, so there should be plenty of advisory and back-up support. There is already a vacancy for a Refreshments Officer.
6. Host Rota
Largely fine, provided the same members don't use it week in, week out. There has only been one no-show so far this year.
7. 2024 Calendar Card
- 23-3Ⓐ1 GW to produce about 80.
8. Encouraging Novices?
The committee felt that there was already enough coverage by other clubs in the area.
9. Christmas Party
18th December. Normal bridge. The committee gave RW permission to order some of the food around the end of November.

The next committee meeting will be held at 6pm on Monday 4th December 2023 at Elm Road.
