You need to sign up to BBO and deposit BB$ into your account.
All players and members should,  as well as following club rules and guidelines, also follow the rules on cheating as advised by CBAI and also follow the etiquette and procedures as laid out by BBO.

General Guidlines
General Guidlines
The advent of “on-line” bridge has brought with it some technical and social challenges that members must overcome. Along with those challenges there are two sets of new rules and guidelines that our members must adhere to. Namely
  1. The BBO guidelines on online etiquette and behaviour and
  2. The CBAI rules on cheating and ethics
The Inclusion List
BBO allows for users to be entered onto an inclusion list and also to be attached to an exclusion list , both of which only apply to CSBC / BBO sanctioned games.
To ensure that CSBC members are up to date with the new regulations they have been asked to electronically sign up to the two new sets of rules and only if they have done this will they be allowed onto the include list.
Currently CSBC tournaments allow an “all Ireland” entry. This will change from the 17th of May , and then only members and guests who have signed off on the rules and guidelines will be allowed to play via the include list.
Note , the TD’s require 24hour notice to update the inclusion list.
The exclusion list
Members and non members will be placed onto the exclusion list by infringement of the the two sets of guidelines and/or the CSBC rules. A simple majority of the panel TD’s is required for a member to be placed on the exclude list and if driven by a committee member, again a simple majority of the committee is required. The member who is at fault will be informed of the sanction , the length of the sanction and the conditions , if any, to be removed from the list.
Other clubs, both in Ireland and the UK, have been approached and no-one appears to have issued guidelines on this matter or penalties in general and therefore the sanction must be applied with due respect to CSBC rules and or common sense.
Cheating
The evidence needed to prove that a player is cheating is extensive and a case needs to be developed and shown to be definitive over a fairly long period of time. The CBAI document states that :-
CHEATING IS CHEATING WHETHER ONLINE OR IN A FACE-TO-FACE GAME,
AND IT WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE SAME DISCIPLINARY PROCESSES, THE SAME SANCTIONS AND THE SAME POSSIBILITY OF BEING NAMED PUBLICLY IF CONVICTED.

Further rules by CSBC are not required who will follow CBAI on this matter.
