The bridge club for the partially sighted meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1430h and 1630h. Membership is free, and sighted partners are welcome. The club is run on behalf of the Kent Association for the Blind (KAB). During lockdown it was forced to function online only, but it has since remained that way through popular demand. Members can play from the comfort of their own homes and no travel is necessary. The atmosphere is very social, and members understand the frustrations faced by those suffering from poor eyesight. They are encouraged to see and talk to each other during play via WhatsApp. Apart from the provision of computer equipment or tablets and internet connection, everything is free.
