Welcome to Chishill Bridge Club |
Welcome to Chishill Bridge Club. We are a small, friendly club aimed at encouraging players who have some bridge knowledge to venture into the wonderful world of duplicate bridge. We meet weekly, usually on a Friday, and either play a few hands of duplicate pairs, or have a lesson followed by set hands. You don't need to have a partner, we have a host.
We play in Great Chishill Village Hall, Hall Lane, SG8 8SH. There is ample parking and plenty of space. We start playing at 2.00 pm prompt, please arrive by 1.50 to give me time to organise the movement. We have a refreshment break at 3.00 for about 10 minutes and we finish at 4.30 pm. We will alternate, each Friday, between playing duplicate bridge or having a teaching session.
We use the BriAn app for scoring. For our newer members, this is a free download from the App Store (iPhones and iPads) or from the Google Play Store for android devices. Search for BriAn Bridge, then download and install BriAn Bridge Client. Don’t worry if you are uneasy about technology, I only need one player on each table to use the app, so if you don’t want to use BriAn you don’t have to.
Because the club is being run by Will and Sylvia Parsons on their own, we may not be able to play when they are away. Please see the calendar for a list of forthcoming dates and topics.

BriAn Bridge |
We are using BriAn Bridge for scoring. It is a free app. Go to the App Store (iPhones and iPads) or the Google Play Store (Android tablets and mobiles) and search for "Brian Bridge" or "Brian Bridge Client". Download and install it. No need to do anything else. We will explain how to use it when you come and play.
If you are uneasy about technology don't worry at all, just ignore it! We don't need everyone to use BriAn Bridge, just one player on each table.
