BOARD 5 - MONDAY 6th AUGUST 2012

The bidding was 1H-1S; 2D-4H.

East led the DQ, Dummy played the DK and West ducked.

Declarer's has only two winning lines now:-
(1) A club to the CQ, cash the SA and lead another club. With a club ruff as an extra entry, he can set up the SJ.
The Defence is limited to CA, DA and a diamond ruff.
(2) Draw trumps, ending in Dummy, and finesse the D8.

If Declarer draws trumps and does not finesse the D8, he will probably lose 2 diamonds and 2 clubs.
