The AK Gentle Bridge Trophy

     The Ashok Kwatra Cup will be awarded to the highest scoring pair playing at the Tuesday Realbridge Gentle session.

  • First Tuesday of March to last Tuesday of July - Spring
  • First Tuesday – September to last Tuesday in January - Autumn
  • Best 10 scores for each pair count

The RK Gentle Bridge Trophy

      The Ro Kaye Cup will be awarded to the highest scoring pair playing in the Thursday morning Gentle session. The 10 best scores for each pair count.

  • First Thursday – March to last Thursday in July - Spring
  • First Thursday – September to last Thursday in January - Autumn
  • Best 10 scores for each pair count

The Verrion Cup

       The Verrion Cup will be awarded to the highest scoring pair playing in the club Thursday afternoon sessions.

  • 1st  September 2023 and 31st January 2024
  • The 10 best scores for each pair to count. 
  • The minimum number of events to qualify for this competition is 10.

SWISS PAIRS COMPETITIONThe Hazel Morgan Cup

        The Hazel Morgan Cup will be awarded to the top scoring pair in Swiss Pairs Events. 

  • To be held between 4th February and 12th December 2023
  • The minimum number of events to qualify for this competition is 4

PAIRS LEAGUE

  • League series are run twice a year starting every February and September.
  • To be played on the 2nd Thursday for 5 months.
  • On each evening we normally play 3x9 board matches
  • ALL standards of players are welcome - play against opponents with similar ability to yourself.
  • One pair in each division (of around eight pairs) is guaranteed promotion and one pair relegated at the end of each five-session series.
  • New pairs will be placed into an appropriate division.
  • Attendance at each session is required, but substitutes allowed.
  • Entry fee is payable in advance for the whole series £17.50 per person/£35 per pair. Non-members can play but must join CBC.
  • Prizes per pair:  Winners in each division receive free entry to next series. Runners-up receive half price entry to next series.
