Here on the Central Coast of California we have three locations for you to indulge in the best game in the world:  BRIDGE!!

Our SLO Club has games in downtown San Luis Obispo, the 5 Cities Club plays in Arroyo Grande, and the North County Club is in Paso Robles.  With three sites in operation, there is a robust schedule of games throughout the month.  Check out the schedule with the Calendar button on menu at the top-left of this page.  Club addresses and fees are here.

ANNOUNCING THE FIRST ANNUAL

TOM SNOW PRO/AM GAME

Tom is happy and healthy in Phoenix, and yet his legacy is thriving here at the bridge clubs in SLO.  His contribution over the years in recruiting, educating, and encouraging new players has been invaluable.  When he relocated to be near family, he donated all his class slides and in addition left us with a framework for moving ahead with our education programs.

The Five Cities Club (AG) will honor Tom and his outstanding contributions with a NEW ANNUAL EVENT – The Tom Snow Pro/Am Game.  The winning pair will be recognized with their names engraved on a plaque which will be displayed at the Community Center in perpetuity.

The game will be held Wednesday, November 11 at the normal time and place for the AG game.  (Sign up here.)  Amateurs will be defined as those with 499 points or less, while pros are those with 500 points or more.  Players should start planning who they will play with and signing up as a partnership for the November 11 game.  Those needing assistance finding a partner may contact Howard Gee or Deb Cameron. The game will be in lieu of the regular 199er and open games held on Wednesdays.  And as customary in the SLO Unit, since the game will take place on November 11, veterans will play free.

Plan now to be a part of this new event.  The game will be a charity game so extra points will be awarded, but mostly there’s plenty at stake being the first pair to win the glory of becoming part of AG bridge history!
