Mentor Program

Unit 207 Mentor Program 2025

It’s time to set the Unit 207 Mentor Program for 2025 into action. This program will serve those who have 150 or less master points and who have begun playing in face to face duplicate games (i.e., any Unit 207 club game). This program is not for people brand new to bridge or who have only taken beginners’ classes. Participants need some playing experience. The Mentor Program helps facilitate the transition from social bridge to duplicate bridge. If you desire to improve your bridge, to supplement classes and individual study, and to enhance the fun and challenge of duplicate bridge, this is the program for you.

Participation as a mentee in the Program is a one-time opportunity, and those who are accepted as mentees may be asked to be mentors in the future. The mentor is asked to serve as a resource of information and as a bridge buddy to help mentees become more comfortable at the duplicate bridge table.

Participants will play together twice a month from February through May (eight plays) at any club in Unit 207. The Unit will pay the mentors’ entry fees; mentees pay their own entry fees. There is no transferring of days from one month to another, i.e., if you can only play one time in March, you can’t add the missed day to another month.

Use the form below to register as a mentor or mentee or to request more information. (Paper applications are also available at the BCA.) The submission deadline is January 10. Mentees will be notified of acceptance into the program by January 14, and pairings will be determined by January 17. There will be a kick-off event for all participants January 25. Please consider participating (as mentee or mentor) in this rewarding program!
