Unit 207 Mentor Program
This program will serve those who have 150 or less master points and who have already played a few times in any face to face Unit games. The Mentor Program helps facilitate the transition from social bridge to duplicate bridge. If you desire to improve your bridge, to supplement classes and individual study, and to experience the fun and challenge of duplicate bridge, this is the program for you.
Being accepted in the Program is a one-time opportunity. Those who are accepted as mentees may be asked to be mentors in the future. The mentor is asked to serve as a resource of information and as a bridge buddy to help the mentee become more comfortable at the duplicate bridge table.
Participants will play together twice a month from January through April (eight plays) at any club in Unit 207. The Unit will pay the mentors’ entry fees; mentees pay their own entry fees. There is no transferring of days from one month to another, i.e., if you can only play one time in January, you can’t add the missed day to another month.
Submission deadline for mentees is closed. Mentees will be notified of acceptance in the program by December 31, and pairings will be determined by January 7. Pairs may begin meeting any time after January 7. There will be an official Kickoff Luncheon on Saturday, January 21. Mentors, please use the following to register for the program or request more information; you may contact Cindy Bell directly at cindybell30030@gmail.com.
