AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

The BCA has an AED in a cabinet on the south wall of the main room. A short video is available which explains its use.
Charity Games
Charity games award extra masterpoints. The extra charge is split between the ACBL Charity Fund and Posada Esperanza, a local charity the BCA supports which provides shelter for immigrant women and children escaping domestic abuse.
The Common Game

Almost all pair game hands played at BCA are "Common Game" hands. This allows comparisons of results with players at many other clubs across the country, post-game analysis of many hands, "par" results specified, and personal "analytics" for individual players. Click to see recent BCA results.

BBO Tip - Convention Cards

When you play on BBO, it is extremely important that you have a Convention Card with every partner you play with, just as you would when you play in a live bridge tournament. Many of us have struggled with BBO’s Convention Card tool.

To help everyone get Convention Cards set up, several ACBL Directors got together and are now offering FREE 2-hour online classes on BBO Convention Cards. The topics include:

  • How to create a card from scratch
  • How to create a card from a standardized template
  • How to assign a partner to your card
  • How to save
  • How to view
  • How to edit
  • How to print
  • How to view an opponent's card

If you don't know how to do any one or all of these tasks or your opponents complain that they can't find your convention card, then you are strongly urged to attend one of these Zoom sessions. No advance registration is needed. Simply click on the link at the designated time, and you will receive a Zoom invitation.
