COUNTY BRIDGE CLUB HOLIDAY

We had another very successful bridge holiday in March 2026 to the Makeney Hall Hotel and are delighted to announce that we are have selected the Clarion Hotel Charlecote Pheasant in Stratford for our 2027 holiday. http://www.charlecotepheasanthotel.co.uk.The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Stratford Centre and there is an hourly bus service from the hotel (Stagecoach 15) to both Stratford and Warwick.

The holiday is open to all bridge players; it is not necessary to be a member of any club or county association to participate. It is designed to be fun for all from the inexperienced to regular club players. The holiday is also open to non-bridge players.

Our director for the holiday is once again Steve Wright who will be assisted by his wife Anne who will also act as host.

We are able to offer this holiday, including breakfast and a 2-course evening meal for £385 per person if sharing a room (twin or double) and for single occupancy rooms £535. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with bath and/or shower. There are a limited number of rooms on the ground floor (some of which will have a walk-in shower. Please Note there is no lift to the first floor rooms. Please indicate on booking form if you require walk-in shower and/or a ground floor room

The price indicated includes the following:

• Half-board accommodation. 2-course dinner to be served at 6.00pm so that we can start our evening bridge by 7.15pm – 7.30pm.

• On site complimentary parking.

• Gratuities for hotel staff.

• Seminars on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings (depending on numbers)

• Evening bridge sessions on each of the 4 days Monday to Thursday.

• Optional bridge sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, which will either be supervised or self arranged depending on numbers attending these sessions.

• Masterpoints and prizes to be awarded.

• We would prefer if you have a bridge partner but as there will be a host available you are able to book without a partner, however when booking and you have a partner please state name.

• Travel cost to the hotel and return is not included and you will have to make your own way. Please indicate on the booking form if you are willing to take others in your car. Alternatively please indicate if you require assistance in getting a lift.

• We strongly recommend that you take out insurance in the event of cancellation as we cannot guarantee refund due to the contract we have with the hotel. We will however, wherever possible, try and find replacements should it be necessary to cancel on your part.

No booking will be accepted without a completed booking form. For payment details see booking form attached. Deposit of £55 should be made on booking.

There are limited Ground Floor and walk-in shower rooms, case porterage provided.
