David Walsh, reaches Grand Master status Dec 2024

We extend our warmest congratulations to David Walsh on receiving the prestigious  silver salver  for achieving Grand Master status in bridge. This remarkable milestone is a continuation of a proud family legacy, as David follows in the footsteps of his late father Paddy Walsh, who was celebrated as one of Ireland’s top bridge players.

David becomes only the fifth person in the Western Region to reach this esteemed status, joining the ranks of Gay Keaveney, Enda Glynn, Rory Timlin, and Joan Kenny.

Well done, David, on this outstanding achievement!

She was a founder of the Galway Bridge Centre and for many years she singlehandedly produced the Irish Bridge Journal.  Funeral details here:  https://rip.ie/death-notice/una-walsh-galway-galway-city-570352

The picture below was taken when Una received a presentation from the then-president of the CBAI (Peter O' Meara) for all the work she contributed to bridge throughout her lifetime.(Galway Bridge Congress April 2019)
